The kingpin of crime dramas
So much praise has been heaped on The Wire there’s no point adding to it here. If you’re already a fan of the HBO drama set on Baltimore’s mean streets - good on you. If you’ve dismissed it as just another cop show, this film hopes to change all that.
Co-written and presented by Charlie Brooker, Tapping The Wire features interviews with many of the key talent behind the show (Idris Elba, Dominic West, David Simon and more), several famous Wire fans (including Nick Hornby and Peter Serafinowicz) and a guy called Diablo with crack vials in his hair.
