In the UK, half of all ex-offenders end up back in prison within a year. Happily, the men in this story have managed to break the cycle — finding meaningful work by renovating houses. This short doc highlights the pioneering work of Midlands Together, an innovative social enterprise backed by Centrica's social impact fund, Ignite.
The scheme is a win-win for society: dilapidated homes are restored to use, ex-offenders are integrated into the workforce and the profits from property sales are reinvested in the programme.
