Accommodation commendations
The Booking.com Review Awards celebrate exceptional hospitality. Brought in for the fifth year of the campaign, I was tasked with elevating the production values, digging into the ‘why’ that drives great hosts, and taking the creative in a bold new direction. Sadly, the result was deemed too bold — and the film was shelved at the 11th hour! This is the director’s cut.
Filmed across California, we focused the narrative on three contrasting characters — capturing them in a premium documentary aesthetic with an outrageously wide 3:1 ratio. Production required meticulous planning to minimise the impact on guests, and to accommodate two additional units shooting social and stills content.
